Mads Pedersen’s 2023 Bike Size

This post is about Mads Pedersen’s 2023 Bike Size.
The Danish pro cyclist races the Tour de France 2022 for the team Trek – Segafredo.
Pedersen’s world recognition came as he became the 2019’s Road racing UCI World Champion.
Mads has gained experience and confidence since his world title, and he is among the best professional road racers.

Mads is a powerful overall type of rider with a fast sprinting top speed. He also performs very well on Individual Time Trials.

Mads Pedersen is 1m79, weighs 70kg at top of his form, and rides the Trek Madone SLR Gen 7 2023 size 58cm.
Pedersen’s first race on the new Trek is the Baloise Belgium Race 2022. He won the Green Jersey overall classification.

Futuristic Isoflow Design

The new Trek Madone SLR Gen 7 frame design is the most futuristic production road bike with its “Isoflow” seat tube junction.
According to Trek, the concept is to “shave weight, improve aerodynamics, and smooths your ride”.

Well, Mads Pedersen already has some victories with this new model.
The transition from the Madone SLR Gen 6 and 7 is not too stressful as both frames feature the same H1.5 geometry.

Mads Bike Fit

Pedersen’s Bontrager Verse Pro saddle is set at 790mm from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the saddle.
The Bontrager Seatpost has a 15mm setback, and the tip of the saddle is 623mm to the top of the handlebar’s reach.
Mads uses the 37-40cm flared width and 130mm Bontrager’s integrated bar stem.

The Trek Segafredo team bikes are equipped with SRAM Red eTap AXS 12-speed, 56/43 chainring, 10-33 Gold Edition cassette, disc-type groupset, and Bontrager components, including the Aeolus RSL 62 wheels. All ceramic bearings are from Kogel.
The tires are the Pirelli P-Zero clinchers with a 28mm section.

Mads Pedersen races with 175mm crank arm‘s length, Shimano Dura-Ace SPD-SL pedals, Bontrager Ballista knit cycling shoes (in white color of course), and Shimano SPD-SL Blue cleats with 2 Degrees of Float. (Shimano ref. SM-SH12)

Like the rest of the team Trek Segafredo, Mads Pedersen wear a Bontrager helmet, Santini’s jersey, bib-short, gloves, and socks. He wears KCO sunglasses.

Mads is a very talented rider and seems to be appreciated among the pro peloton. I look forward to seeing him at the Tour de France and other UCI World Tour races.

Mads Pedersen’s 2023 Bike Size post is a developing story, and I’ll update it as soon as more material information becomes available.
