This post focuses on Thomas Gloag’s Bike size.
The British neo-professional rides for the team Jumbo-Visma from 2023.
Jumbo-Visma spotted the talented rider in 2022 when he was racing with the team Trinity Racing.
Gloag joined the Jumbo-Visma World Tour team as a trainee in August 2022.
From 2023, Thomas Gloag is an elite rider part of the best of the best.
I watched all the races Thomas Gloag rode so far in 2023, except the Settimana Coppi e Barttali as it wasn’t broadcast live. I watch racing live only.
Gloag is an excellent climber and has already finished on the podium on mountain stages and grabbed white jersey wins in the few races he participated.
The prime job for Thomas Gloag is to hone his skills and support the team leaders of Jumbo-Visma, who are Primoz Roglic and Jonas Vingegaard.

Gloag’s Cervelo Size
Thomas Gloag is 1m81 tall and rides the Cervelo R5 in size 54cm.
On its website, Cervelo recommends the R5 Size 54 to riders from 1m68 to 1m75.
If you follow my writing, then you know many professional riders race on one size smaller than the manufacturer-recommended size.
Despite this, Thomas Gloag looks well-fitted on his Cervelo R5.
I focus on Gloag’s Cervelo R5 as I consider it is the bike that represents his climber style of rider. He uses the same size Cervelo S5.
Alloy Stem and HandleBar
Gloag uses a 120mm length FSA NS ACR stem with 10mm spacers under the stem.
It is interesting to note he is racing with an Alloy stem and not a carbon model.
The FSA K-Force handlebar has a 400mm width.
The SRAM Red crankset arms are 172.5mm in length with 54/41 chainrings and feature the integrated Quark PowerMeter.
The seat post is a 0mm setback model.
Unfortunately, I do not know the position of Gloag’s Fizik saddle, for now.
Gloag’s Cervelo R5 is equipped with SRAM Red eTap EXS groupset.
The pedals are the Wahoo Speedplay.
The Reserve wheels are rolling on the Vittoria tires, in Tubeless and Tubular type depending on the race profile.
Most of the time with the Vittoria Corsa Pro Graphene 2.0 tire model in size 700x28C.
Thomas Gloag wears a Lazer Strada KinetiCore, a Genesis, and a Volante Kineticore helmet depending on the race profile and weather.
Like his Jumbo-Jisma teammates, Gloag also wears some Oakley sunglasses, an Agu cycling jersey, bib shorts, and Nimbl cycling shoes.
Despite being a Gen Z, Thomas Gloag wears cycling gloves on all races he participated in 2023 and his brake hoods are in line with his handlebar’s drops.
