Yes I am aware I am running behind schedule with my pro bikes review but I have some good excuses.
See I moved to a Tropical Island in the beginning of 2021 and found myself cycling, running, snorkeling much more than I had anticipated. You may call this procrastination, I call it healthy lifestyle š
It is at a Cafe I first met Peter during a Coffee Ride and as the saying goes āBirds of The Same Feather Flock Togetherā we soon counted Peter as part of our DMCX Coffee Rides.

For this trail MTB the objective was to create a simple bike that roll up and down the single tracks and gravel roads of Japan Alps.

Today I will introduce you to my favorite bike: The Spartacus
It is a 26 inches āAll Roadsā Full titanium bike I envisioned first while riding Japan Alpine roads around Takayama (é«å±±åø), Gifu Prefecture when living in that area more than 10 years ago.
I wanted to build a totally versatile bike that is equally at ease on roads and off roads, able to climb up Alpine roads and enjoying the snaking, hair pin cornering exhilarating down hill roads in total comfort.
26 inches Spartacus: All Roads in comfort
I started the concept of designing 26ā³ wheeled road bikes in 2009 by building a first Beta version. Back then Disc brakes where not yet in full bloom for drop bar bikes so the 1st version was equipped with V-Brakes.
Now a decade passed since my first 26ā³ All Road bike iteration and along with some frame geometry fine tuning and the emergence of various standard helping me to create the perfect all mighty 26ā³ road bike. (moreā¦)
Few months ago Robert took the wise decision to hire my services to design his new bike.
Robert is a local rider member of the DMCX Cafe Racer crew and we have been cycling together for a couple of years so I already knew his riding style.
Robertās Dream Bike at Dream stage
Knowing the person riding style is helpful in the process of designing a frame that will correspond to the futur ownerās expectation and style.
The style refer to the looking of the frame and by extension the complete bike, but also the bike riding feels.
Robert wanted a āDo it allā bike that is equally comfortable for daily commuting in all weather condition but also performant in long sportive week end rides.
