Wout Van Aert’s 2022 Bike size

This post is about Wout Van Aert’s 2022 Bike size.

I am probably not alone to think Van Aert is the best pro road rider in the 2022 peloton.

Wout does accumulate the victories in all road racing specialties there are. He wins sprint stages, mountain stages, and Time Trial races. Not forgetting, he also dominates the Cyclo-Cross.

Cervelo is team Jumbo-Visma‘s bike sponsor.

Like the whole team Jumbo-Visma riders, Wout has three racing bikes models.

The three bikes are the Cervelo R5 for mountain stages, the P5 for Time Trial, and the new Cervelo S5 2022 for the fast-rolling stages.

This post focus on Wout Van Aert’s new Cervelo S5 2022 as the team races it for the first time in Paris-Nice 2022.

So if you are a bike nerd like I am, or you are 1m90 tall as Van Aert and want to know his bike size, please keep reading.

What is Wout Van Aert’s Cervelo S5 Bike size?

Wout Van Aert races on Cervelo S5 2022 size 56cm.

Wout Van Aert along his Jumbo-Visma team mates, Primoz Roglic, Christophe Laporte, Rohan Dennis, Steven Kruijswijk, Mike Teunissen and Nathan Van Hooydonck are racing for the first time on the new 2022 Cervelo S5 on the Paris-Nice 2022.

The changes are minors, and it is more of an evolution than a remodeled new model.

The easiest way to spot the difference is by looking at the Top-Tube connecting with the Down-Tube. The previous Cervelo S5 model had a rounded reinforced connection.

The 2022 Cervelo S5 features a straight line connecting the two tubes. (please don’t look at my sketch for this reference, it does not represent the straight line I talk about)

How is Wout’s bike fitting?

Geometry of Wout Van Aert Cervelo S5 2022 (Unfortunately, I could not paint the fork in two colors so I left it red)

Wout van Aert is 1m90 and has his saddle at 790mm, measured from the center of the bottom bracket to the top.

Distance from the front of the saddle to the virtual axle of the handlebar is 620mm.

The seat post is a 0mm setback, and the saddle is at a 102mm setback.

The stem is 130mm long, and the handlebar is 400mm wide.

Wout uses 172.5mm crank length on his road bike.

The three touchpoints consist of the Fizik Antares saddle, Cervelo AB handlebar, and Shimano Dura-Ace SPD pedals.

Wout Van Aert’s Cervelo S5 is easy to spot as it is the only bike of the team to feature red color on the front.

It represents the Belgian flag celebrating Wout’s Belgian National champion title when viewed from the side. (Black frame, Yellow and red fork)

Wout Van Aert wears a Lazer Volante helmet with RedBull colors. Like the rest of the Jumbo-Visma team, he wears AGU jerseys, Bib-shorts, sunglasses and uses Shimano S-Phyre RC902 SPD cycling shoes to push hard on the pedals.

In conclusion, Van Aert is racing the Paris-Nice, Milan-San Remo and Tour de France with the Cervelo S5 2022.

Wout Van aert has raced the Paris-Roubaix 2022 on the Cervelo Caledonia 5.
