    It was long overdue, Joao Almeida’s 2022 Bike size as he raced the Giro d’Italia.
    After two years of racing for the team Deceuninck – QuickStep, the Portuguese rider joined the Team UAE Emirates in 2022.
    This move supports Almeida’s ambitions on a Grand Tour and gives the Team UAE Emirates a second strong contender for General Classification victories on races where Tadej Pogacar is not participating.

    With more strong riders joining this year, the team will keep its winning streak.
    After hiring George Bennett, Primoz Roglic lieutenant till 2021, Jao Almeida, and Marc Soler, UAE Team Emirates Cycling Team 2022 looks like the strongest team heading the Tour de France.

    Looking at the team selection for the Tour de France and La Vuelta, I think UAE will win both Grand Tours with this configuration.

    The team has also fine-tuned its sprinter’s team to support Fernando Gaviria with Pascal Ackermann and Felix Groß joining.
