The trend among the World Tour peloton is most teams will race the full season on disc brake bikes, leaving the good old rim brakes.
Caleb Ewan is racing for team Lotto Soudal on disc brakes type Ridley Noah Fast size XS (51cm) for the 2020 season. It is the same size as last year except for the fork rake.
The talented Australian sprinter I’d 165cm tall and has the less drag when sprinting against current world tour sprinters thank to his small size but also sprinting position.
The disc brake version is approximately 500gr heavier than the rim brake version due to the extra weight of the disc rotors and brake calipers.
The frame features Ridley’s “F-Tubing” which are teardrop shaped main tubes to optimize aerodynamics.
I particularly like the fork’s “F-wings” fairing at the bottom of the fork designed decreased drag.
The Ridley Noah Fast disc is one of the most beautiful road bike among the 2020 World tour peloton in my humble opinion. The design work is superb.
One thing to note about the Lotto-Soudal team riders is the frames and forks are the exact same models and sizes as anybody can buy from his local Ridley dealer, the remaining components are team specific parts selection based on sponsors.
