Are you 1m75 tall and looking to buy a Factor Ostro road bike? Or are you interested to know what is Michael Woods 2022 Factor bike size?

Well in both case I am responding to these questions in this page.

Michael Woods is racing the UCI World Tour with Israel-Premier Tech team on Factor bikes.

Michael “Rusty” Woods is not a typical bike racer. He used to be a used to be a professional runner until 2011. But stopped his running career after running stress injuries. He switched to road bike racing at age 25 and turned Neo Pro at age 29. Making him one of the oldest “Neo Pro” on the UCI World Tour circuit at the time.

That’s a huge accomplishment in itself!
You might be wondering why I am taking the time to explain these facts when I could have went straight to the point with his bike size.

What is Michael Woods 2022 Factor Bike Size?

Michael Woods is 1m75 tall and his top of form weight is 64kg.

His style of riding is Climber/Puncher.

He is able to keep up with the top riders. Well let me rephrase this, he is among the top riders especially on mountainous and hilly races.

While all the riders of the team Israel-Premier Tech have access to three different road bikes.

The Canadian rider’s favorite machine is the Factor Ostro. He describes the Ostro as lightweight and the aero shaped tubes are great margin gains.

Michael Woods Factor Ostro Size 52cm

Michael Woods races the 2022 UCI World Tour on the Factor Ostro size 52cm. Factor recommends the size 52cm to 1m60 to 1m68 riders.

Why Michael Woods this size of crankset?

His fitting on the bike is with a 110mm stem length, 400mm handlebar width and 170mm crankset length. (165mm on his Time Trial bike)

Yes 170mm for a 1m75 rider, there is no typo mistake.

That where I can lead back to the runner background’s story.
Due to his running career his hips flexor are tight and Michael finds the shorter crank length more adapted.

Saddle height is at 725mm with a 0mm setback Darimo T1 seat post.

Distance from the front of his Selle Italia Nuvos Boost Evo to the clamp of the handlebar is 528mm.
Difference of height between top of the saddle and top of the handlebar is 95mm.

What are the specification of Woods’ Factor Ostro?

Michael Woods Factor Ostro is built with Shimano Dura Ace 12 Speed Di2 R9200 groupset. The rear Shimano derailleur is tuned up with CeramicSpeed OSPW and all the bearings are from CeramicSpeed.

Components such as the handlebar/stem combo, seat post and wheels are Black Inc brand. (Factor’s components brand)

The wheels profiles depends of the races. All the team riders have access to the full Black Inc wheels range; TWENTY, THIRTY, FORTY FIVE and SIXTY.

This being said I have seen Michael Woods on different wheels in few mountain stages in 2021 as linked here: The Lightweight Meilenstein Evo 24 on the Tour de France 2021.
