Team Cofidis 2022 Presentation

I am writing this Team Cofidis 2022 Presentation with the objective to add links to each rider as I review their bike sizes over the year.

Team Cofidis is in the cycling peloton for 25 years already. Compared to some other UCI World Tour teams it is considered a “small” team. Team Cofidis is a 80 persons enterprise, all riders and staff included.

The team ended 2021 season ranked 15th on the UCI Teams Point ranking. Compared to 2020 when it ended 19th, good results are improving gradually.

Cofidis Team Strategy

Guillaume Martin ends best French in the Top 10 of the Tour de France 2021 and La Vuelta Espana 2021. His performances are getting better in the last two years. For 2022 he is planning to race the Giro D’Italia and the Tour de France.

I discovered Guillaume Martin (and Brandon Mc Nulty) in 2019 as he won the final stage of Il Giro di Sicilia 2019. I think he is currently the best French rider for a Grand Tour podium.

Ion Izagirre will be also a leader on the Tour de France 2022 and one week races like Tour de Suisse, Paris-Nice and Tour de Normandie.

Victor Lafay winning a stage on the Giro d’Italia for his first season in the World tour is also a great candidate for mountain stages wins .

The team leaders will be well supported with Anthony Perez and Rémy Rochas to chase stage wins on the Grand Tours.

Bryan Coquard is the sprinter of the team. He is targeting some Spring classics and sprint victories on the Grand Tours.

Benjamin Thomas will support Bryan Coquard in leading the sprint train. He will also serve as lieutenant to Guillaume Martin on the Grand Tours.

ALLEGAERT Piet, CIMOLAI Davide, DELETTRE Alexandre, FINÉ Eddy, RENARD Alexis, SAJNOK Szymon, VANBILSEN Kenneth are racing the Paris-Roubaix 2022.

MARTIN Guillaume, CIMOLAI Davide, CONSONNI Simone, KREDER Wesley, PEREZ Anthony, PÉRICHON Pierre-Luc, ROCHAS Rémy, and VILLELLA Davide are aiming for a top GC finish on the Giro d’Italia 2022.

MARTIN Guillaume, COQUARD Bryan, GESCHKE Simon, IZAGIRRE Ion, LAFAY Victor, PEREZ Anthony, THOMAS Benjamin, and WALSCHEID Max are participating at the Tour de France 2022.

HERRADA Jesús, COQUARD Bryan, VILLELLA Davide, ROCHAS Rémy, CHAMPION Thomas, HERRADA José, FERNÁNDEZ Rubén, and CIMOLAI Davide are racing La Vuelta a Espana 2022.

The Cofidis Bikes

Team Cofidis 2022 races on De Rosa bikes. The Whole team races on the De Rosa Merak which is an all-rounder type. The frame design suits the climbers and the sprinters.

The bikes are built with Campagnolo Super Record EPS 12 speed group set. Wheels are the Corima WS in various height and the MCC DX full carbon models for high mountain stages. Tires are Michelin Power Competition tubulars and Tubeless.

Saddles are from Selle Italia. Pedals are the Look Keo Blade Carbon Ceramic ti. Depending of riders fitting requirement handlebar are from Vision or Vision. Bar tape is by De Rosa.
