BORA – hansgrohe Team 2022 Presentation

This page is dedicated to BORA – hansgrohe Team 2022 Presentation.

BORA – hansgrohe Team ended the 2021 season as the 6th highest ranked team in the UCI World Tour.

The departure of Peter Sagan is a big pair of cycling shoes to fill. It is interesting to observe how Ralph Denk, the Bora – Hansgrohe team General Manager, is reshuffling the team for 2022.

Bora – hansgrohe team 2022 Strategy

Profile of Bora – hansgrohe Team 2022

BORA – hansgrohe Team ended the 2021 season as the 6th highest ranked team in the UCI World Tour.

For 2022, 11 new riders are joining Bora – hansgrohe. The team is still mainly composed of sprinters with Sam Bennett as the obvious Sprint Jersey candidate.

However the team strategy seems to be targeting more mountain stages wins on Grand Tours with the integration of great climbers such as Sergio Higuita and Jai Hindley.

This is adding to the already great list of excellent climbers that are Maximilian Schachmann, Felix Großschartner, Emanuel Buchmann, Wilco Kelderman, Patrick Konrad, Aleksandr Vlasov.

The team Bora – hansgrohe 2022 looks strong and able to win sprint, GC and mountain race profile.

POLITT Nils, HALLER Marco, KOCH Jonas, LAAS Martin, MEEUS Jordi, SCHELLING Ide are the riders selected to race Paris-Roubaix 2022.

KELDERMAN Wilco, ALEOTTI Giovanni, BENEDETTI Cesare, BUCHMANN Emanuel, GAMPER Patrick, HINDLEY Jai, KÄMNA Lennard, and ZWIEHOFF Ben are aiming at a top GC finish in the Giro d’Italia 2022.

VLASOV Aleksandr, KÄMNA Lennard, KONRAD Patrick, HALLER Marco, GROßSCHARTNER Felix, POLITT Nils, SCHACHMANN Maximilian, and VAN POPPEL Danny are racing the Tour de France 2022.

HINDLEY Jai, FABBRO Matteo, KELDERMAN Wilco, HIGUITA Sergio, BENNETT Sam, VAN POPPEL Danny, KOCH Jonas, and MULLEN Ryan are racing La Vuelta a Espana 2022.

Three teams with same bikes

Specialized bicycles is the official supplier of the team Bora – hansgrohe 2022. The team races on the Specialized S-works Tarmac SL7. It is the same bike and set up as the teams Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl and TotalEnergies. Making it three team with identical bikes on the tour de France 2022.

The Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL7 of the team Bora – hansgrohe are mainly black color with a green shade on the seat tube and rear triangle. The bikes are equipped with Shimano Dura Ace Di2 12 speed group set.

Wheels are from the Specialized wheels brand: Roval. Tires are the Specialized Turbo Cotton 26mm width fitted with Latex inner tubes. The saddles, seat post, stem and handlebars are also Specialized branded.

The team uses the Wahoo GPS head units.

It’s going to be exciting to watch three teams sprinting on the same bikes; Sam Bennet Vs Mark Cavendish Vs Peter Sagan. All on the Tarmac SL7!
