I describe briefly the team plans for the three Grand Tours and what bikes they start the season with. I will keep on updating this page as I review each rider’s bike size and fitting. Links will be added to each rider.
Movistar Cycling Team 2022 has eight incoming transfers to replace the eight riders who left at the end of their contract. Among them are Alex Aranburu (Ex-Astana), Iván Ramiro Sosa (Ex-Ineos) Will Barta (Ex-EF) and Vinicius Rangel Costa a Neo Pro from Brazil.

Movistar Agenda
As the biggest Spanish pro cycling team it is obvious the main target is to win the Vuelta a Espana especially as this year is the last race of Alejandro Valverde long professional cycling career.
Nonetheless the two other Grand Tours GC are also top priorities on the Movistar team agenda.
GARCÍA CORTINA Iván, ERVITI Imanol, JACOBS Johan, NORSGAARD Mathias, KANTER Max, LAZKANO Oier, TORRES Albert are racing 119th Paris-Roubaix.
VALVERDE Alejandro, ARCAS Jorge, BARTA Will, LAZKANO Oier, PEDRERO Antonio, ROJAS José Joaquín, SAMITIER Sergio, and SOSA Iván Ramiro are aiming to do a top GC at the 105th Giro d’Italia.
MAS Enric, VERONA Carlos, ERVITI Imanol, TORRES Albert, IZAGIRRE Gorka, JORGENSON Matteo, MÜHLBERGER Gregor and OLIVEIRA Nelson are racing the 109th Tour de France‘s GC podium.
VALVERDE Alejandro, MAS Enric, VERONA Carlos, OLIVEIRA Nelson, ROJAS José Joaquín, NORSGAARD Mathias, MÜHLBERGER Gregor, and MAS Lluís are racing the 77th La Vuelta ciclista a España.
Canyon Bikes
Movistar Cycling Team 2022 is racing on the Canyon Aeroad CFR and Speedmax CFR for TT races. The bikes are built with SRAM Red eTap AXS 12-speed.
The wheels are Zipp, either tubulars and/or tubeless depending on the race profile. They are fitted with Continental Competition Pro Ltd tires.
The riders three touch points are Fizik saddles, Canyon stem/handlebar combo and the Look Keo Carbon Ti ceramic pedals.
The handlebars are wrapped with LizardSkin bar tapes. Garmin supplies the GPS head units.
Movistar team wears LaPassione jerseys and bib shorts. Helmets are from Abus. Cycling shoes are the Fizik Vento Infinito Knit Carbon 2 and sunglasses are from 100%.
