Team Shuffle
The Team Arkéa Samsic had a busy 2022-2023 inter-season with nine riders leaving and eight new faces joining in.
Following Nairo Quintana’s disqualification from the Tour de France 2022 for testing positive for Tramadol, Team Arkéa Samsic let go of the four Colombian riders of the team.
Among the other five riders transferring out are Christophe Noppe joined Cofidis, and Connor Swift joined his brother at Ineos Grenadiers.
The eight new faces joining Team Arkéa Samsic in 2023 are Jenthe Biermans (ex-Israel – Premier Tech), Clément Champoussin (ex-AG2R Citroën Team), David Dekker (ex-Jumbo-Visma), Cristián Rodriguez (ex-TotalEnergies), Ewen Costiou and Mathis Le Berre (ex-Côtes d’Armor-Marie Morin-U), Luca Mozzato (ex-B&B Hotels – KTM), and Andrii Ponomar (ex-Drone Hopper – Androni Giocattoli).
Grands Tours Program
Team Arkéa Samsic is part of the UCI WorldTour and participates in the UCI World Tour races, including the spring classics and the three Grands Tours. Team Arkéa Samsic UCI abbreviation is ARK.
RUSSO Clément, MOZZATO Luca, MCLAY Daniel, HOFSTETTER Hugo, DEKKER David, BIERMANS Jenthe, and LOUVEL Matis are affronting the cobblestones of the “Hell of the North”, aka Paris-Roubaix 2023.
BARGUIL Warren, BOUET Maxime, DEKKER David, GUERNALEC Thibault, RIES Michel, RIOU Alan, RUSSO Clément, and VERRE Alessandro are racing the Giro d’Italia 2023.
Elie Gesbert and Warren Barguil race the Tour de France 2023.
Cristian Rodríguez is racing La Vuelta A Espana 2023.
As we approach the events, the list of riders participating in the races will be updated. The final selection is made a few days before the races depending on the physical form of the protagonists.
New Bikes
For 2023, Team Arkéa Samsic has left the Canyon bikes (or is it Canyon who left the team?) and is racing on Bianchi bikes.
Team Arkéa Samsic riders have access to the Bianchi Oltre RC for sprint and fast-rolling hills, and the Bianchi Specialissima for the mountain stages.
For Time-Trial races, Team Arkéa Samsic rides the Bianchi Aquila.
The Bianchi road bikes of Team Arkéa Samsic feature the Shimano Dura-Ace 9200 groupset.
The road bikes are rolling on the Shimano Dura-Ace wheels while the Bianchi Aquila rolls on Vision Metron wheels.
Both road and Time-trial bikes are fitted with Continental tubular and tubeless tires.
The riders’ three contact points with their bike are the Bianchi handlebar/stem combo wrapped with Bianchi bar tapes.
The saddles are from Selle Italia and the pedals are the Shimano Dura-Ace SPD-SL.
Team Arkéa Samsic riders wear Ekoi helmets, Sunglasses, cycling jerseys, bib-shorts, socks, and gloves.
The team has Shimano as cycling shoes sponsor.
